Our community partners
At Glossodia Public School, we are proud to partner with Celestino, an Australian owned developer shaping communities across Australia. Locally, Celestino is creating Jacaranda at Glossodia, a neighbourhood that blends generous lots with green open spaces, and Sydney Science Park, a world-class precinct designed to advance innovation, sustainability and education.
Through this partnership, our students are extending their learning through initiatives such as the SSP STEM Schools Challenge, cultural activities including our excursion to The Beetle at The Joan, and other authentic, real-world projects that connect learning with community and place.
As future residents and shapers, our students are discovering how their learning links to the world around them.
Together, Celestino and Glossodia Public School are building pathways that inspire creativity, problem solving, leadership and a strong sense of belonging. We look forward to continuing to grow this relationship through new opportunities and shared projects in the years ahead.
At Glossodia Public School, we are pleased to welcome NSW Health annually to offer free dental care for children under 18 years old who hold a Medicare card. Parents or guardians are required to complete a Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) Bulk Billing Patient Consent Form to participate. Even if a child is ineligible for CDBS or has already utilised their benefit, care is still provided at no cost, ensuring all students have access to essential dental services.
This program is delivered by skilled NSW Health professionals, using approved dental equipment conveniently set up on school grounds. Over the years, numerous students have benefited from these check-ups, helping to prevent major dental issues and promote healthy smiles.
Spec Savers Program
Our school partners with Specsavers Richmond, who are passionate about supporting the Hawkesbury community. Through this program, they provide free vision screening assessments to help ensure all children have the vision they need for learning at school. Please note, this program is for screening purposes only.
At Glossodia Public School, we are committed to enriching the educational experience for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through a range of meaningful initiatives. In addition to creating Personalised Learning Pathways (PLPs) tailored for every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student, we celebrate NAIDOC Week and embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into all Key Learning Areas (KLAs). We have partnered with Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School to collaborate with staff and students in crafting a personal and meaningful Acknowledgement to Country.
Each year, our Year 1-6 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students visit the school to engage in a variety of cultural activities, including:
- Traditional First Nations games
- Hands-on experiences making paint the traditional way, followed by painting symbols to share stories on trees with ochre
- Traditional dance movements for both males and females, including gender-specific moves unique to men or women
- Exploration of cultural items such as kangaroo skins, emu callers, coolamons, clapsticks, nulla nullas, yidaki/didgeridoos, hunting and returning boomerangs, emu eggs, and more
Additionally, Stage 3 students are supported in writing their own Acknowledgement to Country, fostering a deeper connection to Country and culture. This enriching partnership has been proudly endorsed by our local AECG president, ensuring its authenticity and community support.

This program strengthens our community's appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and has been running since 2022.
Our school is proud of the safe and respectful relationship we share with Hawkesbury Police Area Command. Officers regularly visit our school to engage with students in positive ways, sometimes joining in a game of footy or celebrating student achievements at our Presentation Day assembly.
Every year we support the Hawkesbury Police Area Command’s annual Play-Doh Drive for the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Every tub donated brings joy to children spending time in hospital, brightening their day with fun and creativity.
